The next meeting of the Thursday morning adult book club will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 11 at the Round Lake Malta Branch Library.

The book being discussed is The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder by Rebecca Wells.

We presently have eleven members and new members are welcome!

It’s Vampires vs. Princesses!  Choose either The Vampire’s Assistant or Princess Protection Program.  Ballots are available at Round Lake Library and the Round Lake Malta Branch.  The winning movie will be shown the last week of March.  Dates and times to be announced.  Vote early, vote often – and may the best movie win!

Learn, Create, Share @ your library! 

Teen Tech Week is March 7-13.  Create a soundtrack for your favorite book using the free site Project Playlist.  An instruction sheet is available at Round Lake Library and the Malta Branch Library starting Saturday, March 6.  Try this fun activity and show off your technical skills.

Internet for Beginners

Want to get on the Internet but don’t know where to begin? 

Start by signing up for an Internet tutoring session at Round Lake Library or the Malta branch.  You’ll learn how to use Internet Explorer, how to navigate websites and how to search for information you’re interested in. Want to learn specifics like e-mail, Facebook, eBay, Craig’s List or travel websites, let us know and we’ll help you reach that goal, or just come to learn the basics. 

Call 899-2285 to set up a date and time. 

Sessions are about 45 minutes long.

Morning Book Club

Come join us at the Round Lake Library for a morning book club.   Our first meeting will be TuesdayMarch 2, 2010 at 11:00 am.  This is a change from the previous date. 

Our first selection will be Atonement by Ian McEwan.  We will hand out the book at our first meeting.

The Tuesday evening Book CLub at the Round Lake Library – Malta Branch had been postponed.  The first meeting will be on Tuesday March 16th at 7pm at the Malta Branch.

Learn to create 3-D works of art based on 2-D drawings and paintings.  Attend three, 2 hour programs led by Michael Allen, a three-dimensional graphic artist.  Explore and Critique the graphic novels available in the library and then create a work of art based on a graphic novel of your choosing.  Completed pieces will be on display at the library for the month of March.

Program will be held at the Malta Branch.  Please call 682-2495 in order to sign up- spaces are limited!
