Magic Tree House Club: Round Lake Library
Friday, March 9 at 4:30pm
Come explore the world of Jack and Annie with the Round Lake Library. Our Magic Tree House Club is designed for children in grades 1-4. At each meeting we will introduce and explore one the many stories in the series. Through activities and crafts children will learn about the many different places Jack and Annie visit. Extra copies of the week’s book will be available for check out after each meeting if the children/parents want to finish reading the book at home.
1000 Book Kid Program
Sponsored by the Malta Sunrise Rotary
The Malta Sunrise Rotary is sponsoring a 1000 Book Program at both branches of the Round Lake Library. This program is for children ages 3-8 and provides book bags, and age appropriate books for a family to share with thier preschooler. Parents may sign their children up for this program at any time by coming into the library. This program was previously run by Diane Lange at the Malta Community Center. A few steps for checking the bags out have changed but the program remains the same.- Select and check out 10 children’s books
- Inform the library staff that this is a 1000 Book Kid. The 10 books will be placed in a special bag
- Bags will no longer be numbered. When you return your 10 books and book bag, circle the next number on your child’s card. (each number represents a group of 10)
- When you have circled 100 numbers your child will be awarded a special sweatshirt courtesy of the Malta Sunrise Rotary.
