Computer & Internet

Public Computers

Internet-connected public computers are available at both branches of the Round Lake Library. No library card is needed, but you must sign a one-time form agreeing to abide by our Internet Access Policy.

A 30-minute limit is enforced when people are waiting to use a computer.

The internet is accessible on the public computers through Internet Explorer and Mozilla Foxfire. Programs installed on public computers include Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and Ancestry Library Edition.

Please bring your own USB drive as you cannot save files on the computers. A USB drive is available for check-out at the desk with your library card, and is for in-library use only.

Black & white printing is available for 20¢ per page. Color printing is not available from the public computers. Printing is offered at no cost for K-12 and GED students printing homework, and for tax forms (not instruction booklets).

WiFi

Wireless internet access is offered at both branches of the Round Lake Library. You can connect with any wifi-capable device, including laptops, cell phones, and tablets. Wireless printing is not available at this time; all printing must be done from the public computers or a USB drive.
