Computer & Internet

Public Computers

Internet-connected public computers are available at both branches of the Round Lake Library. No library card is needed, but you must sign a one-time form agreeing to abide by our Internet Access Policy.

A 30-minute limit is enforced when people are waiting to use a computer.

The internet is accessible on the public computers through Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Foxfire. Programs installed on public computers include Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and Ancestry Library Edition.

Please bring your own USB drive, as you cannot save files on the computers. A USB drive can be purchased for $3 cash. We no longer offer a public-use flash drive due to privacy concerns.

Black & white printing is available for 20¢ per page, color for 50¢. Printing is offered at no cost for K-12 and GED students printing homework, and for tax forms (not instruction booklets).

Wireless internet access is offered at both branches of the Round Lake Library. You can connect with any wifi-capable device, including laptops, cell phones, and tablets.

Wireless printing is not available at this time; all printing must be done from the public computers or a USB drive.
