Video and DVD Policy
Videos and DVDs are loaned to ADULT patrons only (18 & older) for one week
- Videos and DVDs taken out on Tuesday are due the following Tuesday (by library closing time) Wed. to Wed., etc
- Adults may borrow up to 6 videos and 6 DVDs per family
- Videos and DVDs may NOT be left in the book drop
- DVDs may be checked out up until 15 minutes before the library’s closing time.
| To use the internet, patrons must read the library’s Internet Policy and sign the permission formParents must give permission for their children to use the Internet. Parents and students must read the policy and both sign the permission form. With parental permission, students 12 and over may use the internet alone. Students 11 and under may use the Internet only with a parent present. |
Adults may give children permission to take out Videos and DVDs on their library card
- The adult must send a dated, signed note and the adult’s plastic library card with the child
- Any restrictions must be stated in the note
Fines are $2 per day per video or DVD
To a maximum overdue fine of $25 per occurrence
Books and Books-on-tape
Adult and Children’s Collections
Books and Books-on-tape are loaned for FOUR WEEKS
- May renew by phone
- May leave in book drop
- Overdue fine of 10 cents per day
Maximum Overdue Fines for Books & Books-On-Tape:
$3 - $5 per item
To a maximum total of:
$10 per occurrence (adult)
$5 per occurrence (child)
| All overdue fines must be paid when materials are returned, or as soon as possible.More than $10 in unpaid fines (for adults) results in the loss of borrowing privileges until the fine is paid. For children: $5 in unpaid fines results in loss of privileges. |
14-Day Loan Books
Bestsellers, new fiction, some new non-fiction
- Loaned for 14 days
- No renewals
- 10 cents per day (50 cents per week) thereafter
- May be left in book drop
- Shelved to right of circulation desk
